The Certification Process


   Certification Schedule to December 2019



Our Chapter offers many ACI Certification programs during the year. The majority of students sign up for the Concrete Field Testing Technician — Grade I (FT1). This year, we are on pace to administer over 1,200 Certification exams. FT1 and many other classes take place on consecutive Saturdays, with training occurring on the first Saturday and the exam on the second Saturday.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE INFORMATION BELOW. If you are a returning visitor please be sure to hit the refresh button to update the class schedule to the latest status-Thank you!

Students may take ONE exam per class. If more than one certification exam is needed please fill out applications for each in separate sessions.

One By-Request Class -  Flatwork Finisher:

For information regarding Flatwork Finisher Technician classes and cost, contact the Certification Coordinator's office.

Shotcrete Nozzleman Certification:

The Shotcrete Nozzleman Certification classes are not available at this time.  Please contact the American Shotcrete Association for assistance.

Pervious Concrete Technician:

Requirements for Classes Listed Below:

All Classes noted below include the study manual, testing materials and exams in the course fee.

Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs. If you have a disability and require special accommodations, please contact the Certification Office for further information on how to proceed prior to the first day of class.

Should a class session not meet the minimum enrollment of 15 students, you may be contacted to reschedule to a new date and location.

When your payment is received, your place in the class will be reserved. You will be emailed (or mailed, upon request) the class instructions/directions letter approximately two weeks prior to the start of the session.

On the Certification Schedule below, you can click on a city to see a Location Map of each class. You can zoom down into the location map and see a street level photo of the location by clicking and dragging the orange man on the left side of the map onto the class location ID.  

If Your Class Preference Date Is Sold Out - Get on Our Waiting List:

Please sign up for a class you can attend that is not Sold Out. We have a waiting list for classes that are listed as Sold Out, since occasional cancellations occur and spaces open up. We cannot guarantee you a space in a class that's Sold Out, but we do maintain waiting lists of up to six people per class in case spaces open up. 

To get on our waiting just CLICK HERE and send us an email noting which class you want to be put on the waiting list for, and the name of the student. Names on the waiting list are notified of openings in the order the requests are received.

All Classes Are Available Unless Otherwise Indicated by the SOLD OUT SYMBOL - Sold Out

Please allow up to 24 BUSINESS HOURS for the receipt of your payment instructions letter.
