Chapter Events for 2012 Now Being Planned

From September of 2010 through June of 2011, the Chapter hosted 11 events including two Caltrans Workshops and nine evening meetings with new locations in Davis and Sacramento as well as proven venues in Berkeley, San Jose and Pleasanton. We also hosted a Holiday event in December in Livermore that was very enjoyable.  Thanks to everyone who participated in the last 12 months as a presenter or an attendee! 

As we develop the next 12 months of events, your input on meeting speakers and venue resources are always welcome, so that we can continue to provide worthwhile and enjoyable meetings.

LOOKING AHEAD TO THE 2014 SPRING
ACI CONVENTION IN RENO
    
Prior to our May 10 SNCA/ACI dinner in Reno, members of the ACI Chapter Board and SNCA Board and staff had lunch and a productive work session with a presentation from Robyn Nichols of the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority and Charmaine LaMay, who provided a walking tour of the Grand Sierra Resort that she represents to convention clients such as ACI International. 

The GSR will be the host venue the 2014 Spring ACI Convention, and as we are the Host Chapter for the event, our Convention Committee will be populated by California and Nevada volunteers.

Thanks to everyone who made our First Holiday Party of the Century a success! Great fun, good company, door prizes, and the excellent Campo di Bocce food, beverage, venue and staff!

Thank You to our good-humored and excellent speakers Dave McCormick (photos and charts) and Al Kaufman, and to Tom Fourre and his images of Bagram AFB and the bazaar. Thanks also to our guests that made the first 2011 ACI Chapter event enjoyable and interesting. 

Thanks go to our speaker Dr. Bijan Alami, to the SJSU Student ACI Chapter,
to Dr. Akthem Al-Manaseer for his annual facilitation of this event, and to our 75 student
and professional guests at the San Jose State Engineering Building. 

Thank you to our speakers and our 42 guests including UC Davis students and faculty. Sudwerk was a new location for us, and we will be back!

Phil Williams made an excellent presentation, our colleagues at SEAOCC always help create an enjoyable event, and Jackson Catering and Events provided great food and an extra measure of service. And many thanks to the 40-plus attendees on April 12!
